Alaina Hoffman, MDiv, MA (she/her/hers) (pastoral intern/sabbatical pastor, 2022 - 2023)
Originally from Oregon, Alaina has lived and performed comedy in Chicago for over two decades. After working in event planning, office administration, child care, workshop leadership, and employee engagement, she completed her MDiv in 2022 in Church Leadership and Chaplaincy as well as her MA in Theology and the Arts from United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities. She is a member in discernment pursuing ordination in the United Church of Christ. Following her pastoral internship at Bethany in 2023 she was delighted to be called to serve for a season as co-pastor during the sabbaticals of Bethany’s pastors. Alaina loves to explore how experiencing God overlaps with creativity and cares deeply about how we have difficult conversations with each other.
